Attorney General's Honors Programs

Employment Opportunities

This highly competitive program is the only way that Department components, including the Civil Rights Division (Division), are authorized to hire entry-level attorneys.  Eligibility is generally limited to graduating law students and recent law school graduates who entered judicial clerkships, graduate law programs, or qualifying fellowships within nine months of law school graduation.

Each year, the Division hires candidates for its annual Honors Program hiring process. Information about the Honors Program’s eligibility requirements, application process and applicable deadlines is available on the Office of Attorney Recruitment and Management (OARM) website.  Information about the work of the Division is available on the Division's website.

The Division encourages qualified applicants with disabilities, including individuals with targeted disabilities, such as deafness, blindness, missing extremities, partial or complete paralysis or other current severe conditions, to apply for consideration through the Honors Program. Applicants with questions about this process or who need a reasonable accommodation during the application process may contact Deana Willis in OARM at (202) 514-8900.
