It is expected that Congress will vote soon on legislation to reopen agencies with funding through February 15 and the President will sign the bill.  Department employees should watch the news tonight and over the weekend.  Once the CR is signed, employees are expected to report to work on their next scheduled work day, Monday for most employees.

In anticipation of a bill being passed and signed, the National Finance Center (NFC) is preparing to pay staff as soon as possible for the two missed pay periods.  NFC has advised that employees can expect to be paid no later than Thursday, January 31st
