FY 2014 CTAS Purpose Area Webinars

The Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation refers to the Department of Justice's (DOJ) Tribal government-specific competitive grant programs as "Purpose Areas." Applicants may select the Purpose Area(s) that best address Tribes' concerns related to public safety, criminal and juvenile justice, and the needs of victims/survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of violence. The Department of Justice in partnership with the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention National Training and Technical Assistance Center hosted a series of Web meetings that allowed each DOJ office to provide detailed information regarding their respective Purpose Areas. The goals of this webinar series are to:

  • Educate CTAS applicants about Purpose Area requirements and allowable funding requests;
  • Provide an opportunity for CTAS applicants to raise Purpose Area-specific questions to subject matter experts; and
  • Highlight various DOJ resources that are available to assist applicants with the application process.

On December 11, 2012, the Department of Justice released the FY 2013 Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation. This solicitation will remain open until March 19, 2013.

The DOJ sponsored CTAS application training and technical assistance opportunities that appear on the DOJ Tribal Justice and Safety website are available free of charge to provide you with information and training on developing applications.

Please be aware that any other CTAS training not listed on this website is not sponsored by DOJ. If you have any questions about any particular training opportunity, please contact the Response Center at 1.800.421.6770 or by e-mail at tribalgrants@usdoj.gov.

As a reminder, the deadline for submitting FY 2013 CTAS applications is March 19, 2013.
